ah, look at all the average people
As that overrated band might have asked, all the average people, where do they all come from? It is tempting to blame the rich for half the world’s problems, and point out the poor as the culprit for the other half.
After all, it is the ruling class that is constantly dividing and conquering the world, trying to keep it all for themselves and leaving everyone else out to dry. The poor suck as well, they’re the violent boogeymen, the crackhead black muggers and alcoholic white-trash meth dealers.
This line of thought ignores the biggest problem, the fucking middle class. They are responsible for perpetuating all that is awful, by being the ones maintaining the status quo.
The rich, those cocksuckers, are immoral bastards. They know it’s wrong to be greedy, cruel monsters, and they don’t care. Hell, they enjoy it. I’m sure there are people out there who watch Norma Rae and think, “someone should shoot this bitch.”
The poor, those filthy animals, are amoral by definition. They simply don’t know any better. They live like beasts, accepting the truth spewed down to them, not questioning the world and not thinking beyond what television tells them. No rational thought.
But the middle class, fuck, that’s something nasty. They are the watchdogs of morality. While the ruling class invented something called God keep the poor in check, it is now the middle class that assumed the role of Champion of Morals. They are the ones keeping the world shitty, full of Jesus and Britney Spears and shit. That endless sea of bland and somewhat religious people, with their stupid jobs and desperate need to be like everyone else.
What good has the middle class ever done? The rules and etiquette of life come from the rich, most good music came, at some point, from poor black people, and almost all critical thought comes from the intellectual metaclass (more on that in a later post).
The middle class is left going to their stupid jobs and marrying stupid people and breeding stupid kids who get jobs and marry stupid people and breed stupid kids and so on and so forth and scooby dooby doo.
They can hang around a bit longer, because we still need them. But if we ever figure out how to sell ourselves insurance, those fuckers are gone.
